“The City of Livorno, a famous seaport in the Grand Duchy of Tuscany”
Proforma Videodesign presents an exhibition path composed of video installations spread throughout the spaces of the Fortezza Nuova in Livorno.
Three video installations that retrace the history of the character and the city he conceived in a modern way, and still lives today, through the symbolic and homonymous pentagon.

Antologica
A journey divided by topic, and projected on four screens, which tells the story of the multitude of works by Bernardo Buontalenti. From the architectural projects for the construction and creation of the great Medici villas, the princes' chapels, the fortified cities and the innovative defensive systems, to the scenography for theatrical events and prestigious ceremonies, it also includes pictorial and sculptural works.

Il Pentagono
A video installation that focuses on the city of Livorno, and in particular on the urban developments around the Pentagon and the Fortezza Nuova, compared with the current plan of the city.

Grand Tour
Starting in the 18th century, aristocrats and wealthy people undertook a long journey to continental Europe, to enrich and perfect their knowledge. One of the destinations of this tour was almost always the city of Livorno. This video installation pays homage to the artists, designers and then photographers of the time who documented our city.
